here are the interchangable parts:
1990-1995 Hilux Surf with integrated reverse fits 1990-1995 4Runner
THE HILUX TAIL-LIGHTS DO NOT FIT ANY NORTH AMERICAN TOYOTA.
PICK-UP TAIL-LIGHTS ONLY FIT PICK-UP'S AND 1ST GEN 4RUNNERS/Surf's
i have hlux surf clear tail lights on my 91 4Runner even though the reverse lights are still on the tail gate.

I have clear LED taillights and I love them, used stock seals and they don't leak a bit and are stupid bright too.definitley are a little hard to see in the day time though but I think I can live with the compromise

I like the idea, but for what it is worth. I've seen some around here, and to be honest, they don't fit the truck. Look a little too ricey, but then again, that's my opinion. Also they don't seem to put out the light.

and youre sure that the hilux ones work with 4runners? I would assume so but I dont want to be wrong..
as long as you get the ones for the Hilux Surf {same model year} no problems
but check the roughtrax site... they have pictures of the vehicles/parts... there were some minor differences due to different yr/model change overs...
for example the 89-95 trucks here were 89-97 trucks in the rest of the world.

Hilux = trucks [pre tacoma] after the NA-only Tacoma came out [95.5] the models diverged and there is very little parts commonality anymore

Hilux Surf = 4runners

I just put these on my 91 4Runner. I bought them off of Mak92-4RnR. Easy swap out - swap in fit, no modifications required.

But you can find them here on eBay.

Wetsand the lenses on your tailgate and they will match your tail lights.

My reverse lights were yellow, wetsanded and buffed them out.

Oh cool...I really didn't want to have to buy new one's of those. I can't find them in any wrecking yards around here. Thanks man.

i got them off ebay but save your money because they were crap. after a few months, the clear turned yellowish and the red faded to a orange/pink color. i tossed them and went with red and clear LED lights and love them.
