can you just buy the clear signal lenses separately instead of the whole signal assembly? i dont want to spend more than i have to

I don't think so, or at least I haven't seen just the lenses

shipping is so expensive to canada though, plus the conversion to US dollars is pretty high

I think Performance Improvements has a Van. store they usually sell those lens for around $50 a pair last time I checked...
You might also check ebay.au the aussie ebay site they get a lot of pac rim sales that might be cheaper then a US seller even with the shipping cost. Plus lots of JDM style goodies show up there also...
