i didnt remove any lines that had anything to do with the trucks well being LOL

i jumped the idle cut solenoid today..and the truck runs fine..so it's all down to the plug now....

i got power..continuity..and the solenoid works...but it won't work through the plug...only if i apply power to it with a different 2 wires..

i got continuity throughout the male side of the plug..and the female side..and i have power on the female side just like i should...idk whats up with it lol

Check your distributor vacuum advance. Supposedly the engine won't idle if the diaphragm nearest the engine no longer holds a vacuum. But, I know for a fact that If I disconnect it on my 22R it doesn't affect it whatsoever. But thats how mine is, I dunno about yours

well i can't feel a vacuum on that particular diaphragm at idle..i'll check it though ..lol

if i hook up the idle cut solenoid STRAIGHT to the battery..then the truck will run fine.......im thinking there is a wiring problem somewhere..even though i have power on the female side and continuity on the male side...!?!?!??!? wtf LOL...according to the readings i got on my tester..it should work fine..but it doesnt.

hey - whatever happened with this? Did you make EGR block off plates? If so, what material did you use?

my truck runs fine without the emissions stuff...it wasnt working so took it off, the only prob i have is cold cold weather it runs like crap for about 10 min till it warms up, but i think its due to the AAP not being hooked up, but other than that i just have the CB vac advance brake booster and PCV hooked up,

I took off all of that emissions, made block off plates, did some fill in welding and stuck a Weber 34 dgec. That truck has never run better, Asian carbs do not hold a light to a Weber. Power, better fuel economy, a smoother idle, starts up and runs when it is cold. The hardest part is keeping your foot off of the gas.
The OEM carb is designed to run with all those vacuum lines and sensors. Trying to run it without them is a difficult task, because you have to adjust the carb regularly. I never could get it to run properly, a carburettor specialist said it will never run right and it never ran worth a bowl of beans without ALL the emission's hooked up. Save the money and get a Weber.
