I have actually read on old celicas (with the 22re) that people have hooked potentiometers to the ect sensor to make the engine run selectably richer, and have managed to gain some horsepower with it. Some other vehicles they sell a resistor to plug into the IAT sensor to make the engine think the air is colder, and run the engine richer. From the ad it sounds like thats all this is doing. considering its just a potentiometer its not worth spending $25 plus shipping.

After doing a search i found a thread on it here: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/another-new-performance-mod-ect-mod-5537/

4Cyl or 6?

The LAST thing you want to do with a 3VZE is run it richer ... need to lean it out if anything!

lol it is a rip off. Some people have been doing this on toyotas for years, but you can easily do it for all of $5 worth or parts
