Charge, brake and A/T Oil Temp Light on

Hi,
I have an 88 4Runner V6 SR5 with an Auto Tranny. Once you stop laughing read on...
Coming home Thursday the Charge Light, Brake light and AT Oil Temp Light came on at the same time. On my no deceased 89 4runner when the Charge and Brake lights came on it meant replace the Alternator brushes. But with the added OIL Temp light I'm not certain of this. I pulled codes and got 42 and 51. I cleared the codes and 42 (no speed input sensed under load) went away and 51 remained (which I think has to do with my A/C).
The Engine is stone cold and the AT Temp light is still coming on at idle leading me to think it is just interlaced electrically with the charge and brake lights. Can anyone verify this?
I have no voltmeter on the stinking A/T dash because of the Power/normal shift lights and can't tell what the Alt is doing.
Any thoughts before I try to replace brushes ona 19 year old Alt?
Thanks.
-Bill

Seem to recall on mine it was the diode that caused the xmas tree effect on the dashboard.

The only time I have ever seen that happen is when my fake water pump (pulley bracket) broke. Of course it was undrivable after that happened.
