Centerforce II or dual friction?
I know it has been covered before but I don't know which one to get for my 87 runner. With the mods in my sig, which would be better for my daily driven 87?,centerforce II or the dual friction?I am picking up my hd w56 from Marlin Crawler on monday and want to stick a new clutch in it too.The one that's in it has about 10,000 miles on it but it was a cheapy from ebay to hold me over.I drive mountain roads/hills everyday.

Why not get a clutch from Marlin Crawler? You could of saved on shipping plus there already proven. Spend some significant time reading/researching about those other clutches and you'll see there not all cracked up to what they seem to be. My 2 cents.

I had a CenterForce dual friction and loved it granted it was in a car but I think you can't go wrong with them they have been around a long time and all they make is clutches and drive train components.

Well I'm picking the tranny up from them so shipping isn't an issue.I thought about getting a ceramic clutch also and is still an option but the question was between those 2.It seems like evrybody has a centerforce and there has to be a reason for it.Plus the centerforce II is only 209 and the dual friction is only 231.The ceramic from Marlin is 225.

I don't know much about clutches, but there is a saying, "You get what you pay for." With shipping, would you be paying more for the Centerforce II or Dual Friction than the Marlin Crawler?

Those prices are for the clutches themselves,no shipping.I would be picking up whichever I decide to go with so I am not paying shipping.

I ran a DF in my scca race car (86 fiero gt) and it was great. Really held power, had only a slightly heavier pedal, and the best part was if you got it super hot to the point where it slipped... just let it cool down and it'd be right back to normal.
That's the beauty of the kevlar portion. With a normal asbestos type clutch, once it gets hot it never goes back to grabbing the way it did before.
