did 5spd swap in 87 4runner 22re used w56 out of an 85 4runner. now the tall console wont fit its to long any ideas

 

what do you mean its to long? Is it hitting the back of the transfer case shifter? Your gonna need the front part of a manual trans center console.

 

Just take the front part of the console that goes around the shifters and cut it out a little bigger, thats what i did on my 86 4Runner after a manual swap. im also going to have to do some more mods to it to make it work because i have duel cases.

 

have front part from manual console in place but tall console is no sitting to far toward back of runner. The short console out of 85 fits but doesnt have arm rest

 

Would it be possible to swap the armrest part onto the short console ?.

 

 

You need the 5spd console.....
just find one that has an armrest

 

have three other consoles they didnt work either might all be from auto 4runners had so long cant remember
