Whats best for these 22re motors? (fuel economy?) Do they like the cats and mufflers or better with out? also trying to figure out where the o2 wire is. (p/o has this thing jerry rigged like non other) Help is greatly appreciated!!!

 

What year is your truck? The truck will run fine without a cat. It will run fine with a cat. So put in a cat to save our planet. Mufflers keep it from sounding stupid. Put anything on. Some people like tone or volume, I like stealth because I drive a lot and I don't want to bother people when I wheel. O2 sensor goes in the exhaust manifold or downpipe depending on year.

 

88. I don't know how these trucks respond to the lack of lack of back pressure. Some vehicles respond very poorly to the emissions missing. I know what o2 is what it does and where it goes, I need to trace the wire down so I can reinstall one. So if any one has wiring diagram or tell me what loom to pluck into.

 

The wire comes from the harness, across the floor, through the cab under the seat and then plugs into the exhaust.
