Cargo Rack Basket
I'm thinking of getting a cargo rack for my rig. Not looking to put anything in it tho, as it is only for looks to the rig. I was thinking of getting the BLACK WIDOW
Have any of you ever heard of this brand, and what do you think? Cost is $99.00
TAKE A LOOK:

Yea he has a point. If you're going to mount the thing up there, you should at least get some use out of it. It will decrease your MPG.....Do you want it just to mount lights on or just for looks?

If you buy a Thule or Yakima you get a lifetime warranty, plus Thules are made in the USA. Even though it says 200 lb. capacity your factory roof rack is only rated at 100-165 lbs. But if it's just for looks, what the heck.

I bought the same one, and structurely, it did great for what I used it for, and I liked all the different points you attach your cargo to. But there was one drawback--It comes in 2 pieces, which is easy for assembly, but mine took on a little water from rain and eventually leaked out a nasty rust-water stream. I ended up using black silicone sealant around the joints. It seemed to solve the problem, and you really couldn't tell it had been sealed.

The MPG thing has to do with degrading the aerodynamics of your vehicle, not adding significant weight. See the "howling" comment above. I'll bet this factors in at higher speeds for the most part.

I have one and had the same problem as excableguy with the water getting in it and spilling rusted water all over my roof, which only happened after the first hard rain and hasn't happen since. But other than that it has served me well. But the most gear I have put up there it snow skis and snow boards.
