Cant Find my CLS check Engine Light
SO ive been waiting for my 4runner to blow its head gaskets. A while back i fixed the 4wd on a guys 95 3.0 and he sold me his his old 95 3.0 for 50 bucks. The whole engine. I port matched everything from plenum down to heads. i replaced the knock sensor. I installed downey headers. I cleaned each individual fuel injector with pure seafoam by creating a brilliant rig. It blasted out lots of nasty deposits from each one. I hope someone asks how i did this cuz my mechanic said it was brilliant. I put the whole thing back together and made all my adjustment correctly after some dumb mistakes. But now my check engine light wont come on. I was so used to it. I kinda miss it. It was always there for me and now its gone. But the truck runs way better than I could have imagined. I expected better pull while going up hills and I got it. Plus a lot more overall power. She takes longer to warm up now too since the headers disperse so much heat. She breathes better both in and out. This was a great upgrade. I was prepared well in advance too. Im guessing in theory by opening up the ports that it requires the engine to pull in more fuel. But I think the combo of the headers and injectors will offset that. I will post my MPG as soon as I get two solid readings from the tank.
