Can I adjust a 91 clutch?

Hey guys, lately my clutch has been giving me too much play so I want to adjust it. Some sources tell me I can't adjust it cause its hydrolic, other sources tell me that I can adjust it by turning a screw. Any one if and how I can adjust the clutch on a 91 4runner?

*I don't know if this has to do with it but a week or two ago I noticed a gold screw on the floor of my truck near the pedals. Worried it had something to do with my brakes or gas I looked up in the dash but can't find any place it would go, maybe its conincidence or maybe it rattled loose.

By too much play you are saying it disengages right away like 1-2" from top or are you saying you bury the peddle to the floor and it just does disengage?

1.Too soon means bad pressureplate and disk.
2.To the floor and it comes back up fast means bad bracket (Has cracks in it you
probly Tall person and push diagnally on the peddle), Use a flashlight and look at the
Bracket on the left side of where the rod goes through the firewall.
3.To the floor and comes back soft could be bad mastercylnder.

I mean I can push the pedal an inch or 2 before there is any resistance. There is a crack in the bracket but the metal piece behind the pushrod where the pin goes through is sort of loose, but I dont see a way to adjust or tighten it. I looked at a service manual for a 93 (mines a 91) and it said to adjust some nuts. I tried this but the whole bracket flexed when I tried to loosen them and I didnt want to break anything.

Sounds like a throwout bearing/arm problem...

I really think its the mechanical assembly, but I just dont get what can be adjusted. I know the crack in the bracket is contributing but I think there is more to it than that.
