Mine is the say way. I dont have that resister (My girlfriends truck has it) and when I depress my e-brake I hear a click and all my lights (exterior) come on at full strength. I figured my truck was wired with an aftermarket style DRL since it was an import

Thanks DC. I am fine with the odd wisecrack as long as it doesn't turn in to a total thread Hijack, which in this case it did.

As far as the resistor, apparently it reduces the high beam output for the DRL's. I just took it out when I was doing my swap and wanted to know if I needed to put it back in. I think I will. Thanks.

Won't removing it cause the DRL's to not work? And i believe those are required by law right?

You can use fog lights in place of DRLs. Or just flip your dang lights on! hehe

This was a pretty fresh thread on removing DRLs a day ago.
