Camry Alternator 3VZ Swap

Anyone have any links to this? I have searched, and some folks acknowledge that it can be done, but i can't find any links.
From 92-94 the Camry with the 3vz engine came with an80amp alternator, i hear this alternator will bolt in with a dampner mod(this is where i am confused).
I have no problem going to the pick'n pull to grab an alternator to give this a shot, just looking for some insight.

thanks

that's what i hear, so i would have to swap pulleys..no big deal. I have also read that the spindle needs to be bored on the pulley because the Camry alt spindle is larger, again not a big deal.
Mounting and hook up is what i am really after. and experiences of course. I may have to spend the $5-$15 at the pick'n pull to find out for myself, but I'd rather have someone with FHE.

Don't bother with the camry alternator, do the 100 amp MR2 alternator swap. It takes minimum modification, and you can find the alternators cheap. I did it on my old '92 4Runner when I went to an electric fan and auxillary lights, great mod.

Did you change the pulley? Or perhaps i mean, was the spindle different sizes. The write up link you provided was helpful, but it doesn't' address my questions.
Thanks

The pulley doesn't need to be changed because it utilizes the same kind of belt already on your truck. You'll just need to get a slightly longer belt as directed in the write-up.
