call me Shudders McGee!

My runner has not smoked these next few times I've turned it on and has run great, except for a strang quirk. When I coast, it shudders alot sometimes. I'll be on a flat road going 40 mph in 4th gear and it feels like the alignment is horribly wrong, but as soon as I put the least bit of throttle into it, it smooths out immediately and feels perfect.

Might this be the EGR?

Maybe.... a couple things: EGR, TPS, AFM, something in the clutch/throwout bearing area? Maybe rear diff gears worn on the 'coast' side?

rear diff gears, as far as i know, are good. My mechanic just recently worked on it and, knowing him, he would have reported that.

Think the rear u-joint can cause that? It has about 10 degrees of slack in it and I'm going to change it sometime...

U-joint could very well cause a vibration and some noise.
