A/c and Tach
I just bought a 95 4Runner sr5 V6, that the previous owner said that the alt was overcharging and took out the battery, lights, and tach he replaced repaired the lights, out in a new alt. and battery, but the tach is not working and the a/c compressor clutch is not kicking in I was wondering if the a/c relay and tack were somehow connected in the same circuit.
also is there any things that i need to look out for, i know vehicles of this age has gremlins but any help with what ones seem to pleg them would be great.

The punctuation and grammar!
(Yeah sorry I'm probably "old".)
Yes your AC is connected to the RPM sensor so the AC sub-comp (ac amplifier) knows when the RPM is so low to engage the compressor clutch or not.

The A/C clutch also has a low-pressure interlock. If there is insufficient Freon charge, the clutch won't turn on. At least this is how the '87 works, and most cars I'm aware of have this compressor safety feature.
I'd expect you've got a Freon leak, and that'll be expensive to fix on this R12 system.

In the US, all vehicles SOLD after Jan 1, 1994 had to use R134a. My '94, built in August, 1993, was sold with R12. It's unlikely a '95 had R12, but a quick look at the sticker on the radiator support will tell the tale.
