A/C faceplate interchangability
i need a replacement faceplate for my a/c panel which is cracked. I found a white faced one but it is avertised for a 89-91 toyota pickup. will this pannel fit my 87? if so what glue do i use to attach it. thanks...

I've seen the white-faced one you're talking about. Stupidly I ordered it because it said "89-91" but when it got here it wasn't. It was the one for your truck. I've since sold it. The seller, "glow-gauges" was told about it by more than myself but they never changed the description. If it looks like the one in the second link from Rocket, then that's the one for your truck. The white ones have 3M tape on the backside for mounting.

You shouldn't need any glue. They pop into place you can pry them off from the right side. And probably should use a screwdriver to pry the tabs into place to put the new one on.

im not talking about the whole plastic peice, im talking about the thin peice that has the writing on it. here is the product:pannel

Rustbucket, that's the right glow panel for your truck. It has 3M tape on the backside to adhere to your stock panel. You can tie the wiring in to your dash lights and it will dim/brighten with your dash lights. Very simple to install.
