buying a 88 4runner

what do u guys think about this one and how much should i give for it.
here is the info

4 cyl., 4x4, good trans.,5 spd., good clutch, good tire, good brake, need to change gasket of cylinder head.

How much are they asking? Are you able to change the head gasket yourself? If so, it's not expensive but if you have to take it somewhere expect hefty bill.

there just as for best offer and yes i can do the head gasket myself

Seeing the front fenders rusted out, have you checked for serious frame rust? I'd start out with a low offer, like $700 or $800, and see what they say. Tell them that you realize that you'll have to spend around $1000-$1500 to get it back in good condition, and see where that goes.
