Bumper Ends

I am repainting my 87 4wd. we all know how crappy these trucks look with the plastic bumper ends. there is a 1 piece bumper for the 2wd, but I cannot find one for the 4wd. I did talk to a kid the other day that has a 1989 with chrome bumper ends on it . he bought it that way . after looking around I have found replacement bumper ends for the 89 .my questions are , does anyone know if the center bumper for the 87 is the same as the 89 ,and if not , what would need to be done to install the complete 89 bumper on the 87 ?

The 1987 center bumper is different than the 1989 center bumper. I don't think you can mount the chrome bumper ends to the 1987 truck without it looking funny.

I am not sure if the newer style bumper will directly fit the 1987 or not. I have never tried that. The turn signals that mount to the bumper are also different between the 1987 and 1989 bumpers.

It might look better if you mount the 2WD 1-piece bumper, but I don't know the mounting differences between the 2WD and 4WD.
