I still think you should bridge that span over the top of the winch with some steel. That is the weak link in your design. If you don't believe me go ahead and install it and put a jack under the outside edge of the bumper and lift the wheel off the ground. I bet you a beer you have way more deflection of the bumper than you'll want. BTW I have 2 years experince doing FEA testing as a design engineer, plus I stayed in a Holiday Inn express once too.

Early in the morning tomorrow or afternoon I had to redesign it because the core support got in the way so I have been busy cutting , grinding and test fitting and it's a pain in the ass to do by myself(not complaining just the facts).

I got a new digital cam so I will be taking it with me tonight and gettting a few pics to go with the progress so you all can see where I am at with it, but remember I am doing this after 11 pm and working a full time job so it's been kind of slow , plus with our toy run and turkey shot's time has been limited.

With any luck I should be at a point to mount it by sunday then it's off to the LINE X guy to get coating so it stay's beautiful for long time. Thinking about maybe doing it in color but most likeily wil just run with the standered black.

So anyway theres a quick update got to get back to work dispatch is calling.

MORE UPDATE'S

JUST A COUPLE MORE PICTURE'S OF THE PROGRESS I ADDED THE D-RING MOUNT'S AND AN ANGLE FROM THE TOP OF THE BUMPER DOWN TO THE END OF THE WINCH BOX FOR A LITTLE EXTRA STRENGTH TODAY.

HOPE TO BE TEST FITTING AND ADDING THE MOUNTS AND FRONT RECIEVER TO THE TRUCK SUNDAY. IF ALL GO'S WELL THEN IT SHOULD BE GOING TO GET LINE XED THIS WEEK.

FOR ONE?
Steel is expensive right now and materials plus labor are way more then I expected but then again I have figured out a few shortcut's that will help the build go faster on the next one. Maybe trying a rear next.

How about one without the winch box? Would that be easier? How much to make it worth your while? By the way that looks really good.
