Got a free 95 4Runner in great shape, 3.0 ran, trans would not go into reverse, while searching on Craigslist I found a rolled 94 with a 3.4 swap already done and a manual transmission behind it. I’m in the midst of doing a 5speed swap, 3.4 swap and manual hubs. Progress at the time of writing this is I gutted the 3.0 and auto, on to tearing apart the donor vehicle. If anybody sees parts in the rolled rig they want lmk
cost of vehicle: free
cost of donor: 1500 Not bad for free Getting ready for 5 speed and 3.4 Donor 3.4 5speed👍 Rolled donor was nice.

Reason: Added total cost so far
Neat!!! I want a 3.4 one day…..looking like a sweet deal for both rides
Im going to keep tabs on budget. I’m recouping some money with the seats out of the rolled one, still need manual hubs and a power steering line, lots of odds and ends.
Tons of parts on that rig from what I can see in the pictures! I have 4wd pickups, 91 and 92 standard and extra cab manual 22re engines. There must be some good bits that crossover onto mine. Both are well worn trucks pushing 300k
thanks! Luck is what I’ll be needing, after looking at the black 4Runner I noticed the funky abs system, I’ll be doing a full delete on that, I have a parts 89 pickup with the same wheel base, gonna use the rear brake hard lines from that… it will all be worth it in the end

I’m willing to ship, I have a surplus of Toyota parts
Man what a deal! You're going to like that 3.4 and manual trans a LOT more than a 3.0 and auto. Parting out my donor paid for a lot of other stuff. Plus I used a lot of stuff off the donor. You're doing it the right way.
PSC steering (and others) sell Toyota specific adapter fittings for the pump outlet and the pressure and return ports of the steering box. It's easier to just buy or make your own hoses. #6 JIC (6AN) fittings on the 3/8" high pressure hose and 3/8" low pressure return hose. Maybe you can easily find a factory line? I was swapping into a 2nd gen pickup with a 22RE.

Good luck with your project!
as far as lines go I found a oem style replacement for the non abs on rock auto and I have a 22re pickup parts truck and after research the brake line is the same p/n so I lucked out there. Hopefully tonight I’ll start getting that 5vz pulled. Found someone locally that wants to buy my donor trucks seats for 500 bucks so that’s going to help make this as budget friendly as possible. Who knows maybe I’ll have a 500 dollar 5speed 3.4 when I’m done🤷♂️
Progress today! Now I’ll start taking the transmission the rest of the way out and get all the 5 speed goodies off of the donor (clutch hard lines, master cylinder, and pedal assembly) Cleaned some of the gunk off

those seats look like theyre in GREAT shape. I would keep them for the build...or sell them for a pretty penny. I've seen the Sport Seats go for hundreds of dollars online. They're rare and If you reupholster them with new cushions are pretty comfortable.

apparently a somewhat local guy is gonna buy the seats for 500 bucks. The black trucks interior is spotless so im gonna keep that " class="post_inline_image" data-size="2000x1504" data-src="https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.yotatech.com-vbulletin/2000x1504/img_0766_fbc6d625bc364c8ebdba37d41dcda19ff0f55676.jpeg" loading="lazy" />
Only seat defect (drivers side of course 🙄

Made more progress, the weather has been wet and working in the dirt sucks so it’s been slow. Got the clutch pedal, master cylinder, and all the clutch lines installed and a toyonlyswaps battery box
Well I got the abs delete figured out, after thinking I could use a 3rd gen Toyota pickups brake lines and finding out they are way different I ended up making a short hard line that bypasses the abs. I used a 90° junction that I cut off my parts 4Runner and made this special little short hard line
Got the manual transmission in, need to cut the tunnel out to accommodate the 5speed shift levers. I also prepped the engine bay for the engine. Looks clean.
Got all the drivelines bolted in as well as the bell housing bolts and motor mounts, it’s all in there! I put the factory style wheels back on and got it ready for some manual hubs. Just need to rebuild a set I have then it’s time to wire and do a once over hopefully
