Broken wire..HELP

Ok i dont know for how long this has been broke but I have no clue where its home is. I get no CEL codes or anything. I checked all fuel injectors and connectors that the wire could reach and all look good. It is just a single braided wire. Please someone help me out here. I do have a high idle, but dont know if that even pertains to this.

P.S sorry for the crappy pics all i had was my phone.

LOL trust me anywhere is better than cali, but its not a ac clutch wire as to i have no ac and the truck never had ac. It is a single wire i would say 10 guage. The only reason i say broke because the braided wire in the insulation looks jagged as to it broke off.

lol. the knock sensor is at nine o clock when looking at your oil filter. Has one single 14 guage wire going to it. Plugged right into the block. hope that helps. But i still cant find what the heck this wire goes to.. Damn previous owner..lol

Looks like the ac wire to me. Just trace the wire as far as you can...

I traced it as far as i can and it goes into the wire bundle under the intake manifold then into the fire wall, possibly to ecu

does your temp gauge work and you can verify that it's plugged in on top of the intake manifold by the head?

that's really the only other single wire plugin on that side of the motor that I can think of that hasn't been mentioned...

Remember, these trucks are wired up for all available options from the factory. Sombody might have clipped that wire or something...

Hard to tell if it is factory or not, or what guage. To me it looks aftermarket, so my guess is a power wire for an amp.

I don't know of many installers who would go through that much trouble to intertwine it with the factory harness...

well i am a electrian / electronics tech by profession so the guage wire is a 10 gauge wire. My temp gauge works as it goes up and down like normal. As to aftermarket i have no idea, but i dont think someone would have taken the time to wire it all the way threw the original wire loom, just a guess. The truck is running fine other than a abnormal valve noise.. now thats frustrating.
