Broken BVSV on 22re

Howdy,
I was assembling my freshly rebuilt 22re engine to put back in my 92 Pickup and broke one of the plastic pieces off of what I think is the BVSV. I was wondering what the most common fix is for this. Is there a safe way to bypass it? This particular part seems hard to find.
Thanks in Advance

The part is no longer available from Toyota (but it sounds like you already knew that.)

I doubt you'll find a used one; the plastic is in a hellish environment, and becomes brittle with time. LIke 25 years.

I would carefully try the gluing method suggested by wyoming9.

I have used Super glue to on sensors many times to get up and running ..

The link above is another good option

If it is a choice of scrapping a vehicle or a Hail Mary I go for it

The thing is to make sure what your fixing is indeed working not that you spend all this time reinstall and it does not work.

It is a personal Choice

Then some should stay away from things like Super Glue quite embarrassing to go to the ER to have your fingers removed from other body parts

The bad part is I lost the plastic piece, so I cant glue it back on. I think I'll try something similar to what maco35 suggested. Thank you for all the responses!
