"breather box"?

Hola,
I purchased a '93 4runner 4x4 w/ the 3vze engine last week and spent the past weekend fixing her up (plugs, wires, clean intake manifold, fuel filter, pcv). While working on the pcv, I noticed the elbox between the valve and the intake was horribly clogged. I'm not to sure this guy has ever been changed given the hardened state the grommet was in.
Anyway, this got me thinking about a fix that's really common on 1600cc VW engines (the old air-cooled guys used in bugs and some buses). People often put something called a "breather box" on the pcv line. These boxes basically separate any stray oil from the air that's 'breathed' back into the manifold. Thus keeping the manifold much cleaner.
Is there something like this in the yota world? It seems like there should be, but I'm guessing it's called by a different name since I can't find anything from searching.
Thanks for the help.

I know what you are referring to. It's basically just a catch can effect. Or you can splice in an in-line fuel filter for $2-3 from your local autoparts store. It'll do the same. I'm not too sure if it is used much in the truck and suv industry.

Ok, thanks for the reply.

Aren't you the guy selling the ISR mod parts? How much of an increase in hp (average) have
you had w/ this on a stock 3vze?

You are not really going to see a hp increase with it(at least not a noticeble one). You will notice an improved throttle response mostly.
