I put an extra key in my wallet for this reason, my wallet is always with me so I always have a spare. Its risky putting the magnet key hiders on the rigs it would allow anyone to bypass the alarm with the valet button and take off with the rig easily. My girlfriends sisters car was stolen with her hide away key.

I am late, and I realize that you got in already, but for those that have tried and failed I will tell you what works. I am a firefighter and when I first got in the department and we had our first "unlock" call, I was amazed how easy it is. The department doesn't do them officially for anything other than an emergency, but we work across from a post office and we have people walk over about once per month to unlock their doors.
We have a set of plastic wedges and long bendable rod that has a rubber tip. Its kind of like a thick coat hanger that you can bend to your liking. We pry open the top of the door a bit with a wedge just enough to use the bendable rod. After that its just trial and error to get the rod to touch the unlock button(assuming the door has electric locks). It only take a minute or two usually. If the door has manual locks, its a bit more tricky, but the same procedure.
Anyway, we have never failed and we have never caused any damage. I am just posting for the next person that locks themselves out.

Hi I just did it on my 1990 4Runner with power everything. I was lucky enough to have a ski pole I could bend so I removed the plastic circular tip attachment leaving a straight aluminum pole. I wedged the door frame open and bent the shaft of the ski pole and used it to push the door lock and thankfully it worked..... breathing easier. Good luck to anyone going through this crap.

I just used a screwdriver to pop out the bottom of my door handle/ lock assembly and pushed down on the rod with my finger. Door handle popped right back into place without issues. This was done on a 93 Toyota pickup.

When you get it unlocked and after school, go to walmart and get a spare set and the big black under the body magnetic box and slide it open put key in there and put it against inside a frame rail and you'll have a spare handy, I know walmart has the key blanks because I got keys made couple months ago for my new 93 truck and it's now under the truck inside one of the the frame rail, I've always carried a spare key in a magnetic box under all my vehicles since 1985 and also my daughter has one on her car. just good insurance, my 94 mazda b2300 has one under the inside bed rail lip...
Ps. And I carry a $20.00 in there to, just for an emergency...Never know with my luck!!!!

Get three wood shims, the ones carpenters use for leveling up doors and windows.
Insert two in between the top of the door and body. Then get the third and jam it in between the two. This will give you room to get a steel rod, coat hanger ect to move the door lock.
