Brake q

ok, i have an 88 sas truck, now im thinking about doing the front brakes for ☺☺☺☺s and giggles, now how can i tell which calipers i have? is there a measurment or a part number? i dont know if the PO used the sa ones or the ifs ones. also is there a difference in the marlin stuff and tg brake stuff? the same prices(which is shocking)

Thanks!

Post up a pic, i'll tell ya lol. V6 Calipers use a different style anti-rattle spring than the factory SA calipers.

reuse the shims on the back of your existing pads when you install new pads. but from the looks of it, you have 40% pad life left.

stock calipers.

if you want, you can upgrade to V6 calipers for that little extra power.

☺☺☺☺ i didnt want to spend like 300 in brakes, the calipers will get done when they need it i guess. can i run a vented rotor with the stock calipers? The rotor now is wavy and i doubt that it will be able to be machined. plus i just noticed the brake hardware is missing on my pass side.lol

no, the rotors are too big. You will need the V6 calipers.

not the v6 rotors, FJ60 rotors. I dont know if the IFS rotors will bolt the the SA spindles.

Ill be glad to get you new what you need shipped to your door. All on our brakes page on the website.

With the larger V6 "finned" calipers you will need wheel spacers or use other methods for them to clear your rims depending on your setup.

Email me if you have any more questions.
