The previous owner said he did not change the brake fluid, so I suctioned some out of the master cylinder to check the color and added some new fluid. I started my truck and pumped the brakes and about every ounce of brake fluid in the master cylinder was pumped onto my garage floor.

The interesting part is that it came out of the truck in front of the passenger side rear tire, not at the master cylinder. I refilled the master cylinder and pumped some more fluid onto my floor out of the same location.

Any idea what is going on here, or did I bust a brake line pumping my brakes?

Any help is much appreciated, I do not want to drive this thing until I figure out what happened.

The truck is a 91 V6 4v4 5spd.

did you look to see where its coming from? it sounds like the brake line if it s then just replace it.

It is hard to see, since it is behind the body and above the frame., where exactly the fluid is coming from. My idea is to bleed to brakes with my vacuum pump and confirm which wheel it is (probably one of the rear lines....) and replace that line.

check above the gas tank, i had two lines go in that area. cut before and after the tank so you dont have to drop it unless its pretty much empty. just remember to disconnect the lines from the tank and the filler neck assy.

I think that is the same area. Did yours just spontaneously go? Since you are saying cut before and after the tank, how do you repair the tube with just a section? I was thinking I would have to replace the entire piece of brake tube that is leaking.

Does anyone have a diagram showing the brake tube routing? I am looking through the on-line FSM but not finding one.

to properly splice brake lines you should use a double flare fitting. Jus so you'll know getting a double flare on your old lines will be very difficult. It's a real PITA but replacing the whole line that has busted is probably the best way to go. You'll have to drop the fuel tank

mine let go at the mechs shop after i had the oil changed so i left it for them to deal with. i think they cut the old lines, flared them and put new lines in. not sure if they had to drop the tank or not, the bill wasnt too big so im thinking they didnt.
