brake in for a 3.0

what is the right way to brake in a rebuit mortor. it a 3.0 v6

don't baby it, but don't redline it or out right abuse it, you should vary the speed, if it has a new cam there is a break in procedure for the first twenty minutes I think you hold it at 2k for 20 mins. bring it up to cruising speed and let off the gas and let it engine break back down. You can search, everyone on here has an opinion on how to break em in. I think this covers a few. Some people say change the oil after the first warm up or cam break in and some say at 100 miles.
