Bodyman help

I'm trying to strip a frame for a POR 15 application. I've been using a wirewheel on an angle grinder. I don't want to use a grinding wheel because I think that would be too abrasive and cut in to the metal.

Is there something more aggresive then a wire wheel but not as harsh as a grinding wheel?

Would a scotchbrite disc work? Is there something I don't know about?

You could get a flap disk for your angle grinder. It will take off material quicker than the wire wheel and leaves a nice shiny surface. You can get them in different grits. I would get something over 100 grit.

i've used the 3m roloc discs alot, but they get really expensive, even buying in bulk.

a wire wheel is PERFECT ...

If you check the application instructions .. removal of "loose scale" is all you need , and actually the BEST

.
