Blower only working on low setting - not resistor

Hi All,

My blower is only working on the low setting for AC, Heat, and normal air. I swapped out the resistor and that wasn't it. I also measured the resistance of the old one and the new one, and they matched, so that makes sense that it didn't help.

Any ideas what the culprit could be?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. You pulled apart the console/switch area to take a look at the switch? Was that easy enough?

it wasn't too bad, you should be able to do it by pulling apart the lower console, glove box and the cover under the steering wheel also had to come out if i remember correctly. i just sort of started unscrewing stuff..

As dropzone says, you start at the glove box and work your way to the left. DO make a way to keep track (write notes, take pictures) of which fastener goes where, and the order things go together. It isn't always that obvious. Some people can just drop the screws on the carpet as they go and can magically remember where all 15 or so pieces go; not me.

Thanks for the pictures and the replies. Here is a pic of where I'm at in regards to getting the switches out. I feel like they're close to coming out, but I'd like to disassemble as little as possible. Doesn't look like the dash pad needs to come off right? I can't pull them out the front, does anyone remember if they come out the side, or the back? Do I have to disconnect some connections from the back first? Thanks for any tips.

you need to pull that radio enclosure too. Dash pad does not need to come off.

there are cables hooked to the back of the HVAC controls that don't give you a lot of room to work with
