hey guys and gals.
just wondering, i purchased a newer/better condition heater resistor tonight. I didnt get a change to preform the ohms test on it yet, but i was looking at it and i noticed that one little part of that grey cement stuff that is ontop of it has a little crack. Now, will it not work? because my last one that i got from the salvage yard got smooshed in my tool box after i got it but now i get the 2 higher speeds. and that one had alot of cement cracks. so i was wondering, what type of cement can i use to replicate the grey cement that it comes with??

Its just epoxy.

However, make sure you check the wires before you install. I am sure you already know the cause of the speeds not working (broken wires)

Some sort of epoxy, not sure the exact type.

the wires from the resistor just go to the switch correct?

 

Well, something like that. Im not sure the exact route without seeing a wiring digram, but I know power travels from the switch through the resistor to the blower motor.
