They are sitting in my shop right now, just waiting. My headgasket bill was more then I had planned for it to be so my money for J is gone. Right now im deciding whether or not to rattle can them black, silver, or not at all. I really like the look of black wheels but I don't know how well the black rattle can lasts over time. I imagine i would have to touch it up every once in awhile but I wonder how bad it would really be. I could even rattle them silver but the same principle applies. How long does the rattle can actually withstand road abuse? I don't wheel as much as I used to so that wouldn't really be a problem.

I'm personally a stock fan. I'm going to talk to J here soon about PC'ing mine in a silverish color closest to stock we can find. I think that you can paint any other type of rim black, but I'm just not a fan of stock black rims ( like yours ). Maybe other factory rims, but most of the toyota factory rims look really good the way they are in my opinion.

Well, after okaying it with my better half, they are gonna be black. Goin out to advance tomorrow to pick up some aircraft stripper, 320-grit sanding sponges, duplicolor primer, and duplicolor flat black. I'm a little hesitant to put on a clear coat because I don't really like shiny black wheels, but seeing as how they are just sitting in my shop I am in no hurry. Ill update this thread with my progress.

They should make semi gloss clear coat as well as glossy Kyle...check into that as well. www.caswellplating.com has alot of paints on their site that you may want as well as the semi gloss clear you want. Good luck Kyle!
Now the next big question, Satin or Gloss?

If it was me...I would do the gloss. Easier to clean up and doesn't make your wheels look like they were done in the middle of a dirt road!

please do post pictures. i have to take one of my tires off the rim so i might as well paint all of mine black too. i'm tired of polishing aluminum. you have to polish shiny stuff way more often out here and i'd rather not waste my time with bling

I know I voted black, but I'm changing back to silver after having my stock rims on there for a couple months. I'm looking into having mine done in a silverish color as soon as some extra money comes my way. I'm hoping birthday present from the wife.

We do Black chrome at my work I dont like it in the powder... I'd say something like a Silver Vein would look pimp. Its a dark dark grey with lighter silver veins, I did the recessed section of my valve cover in Grey Hammertone, It looks great too
