Black exhaust smoke after rebuild 1993 4runner 3.0

Hi everyone, I just finished a head gasket job on my 1993 4runner 3.0. I ended up getting new heads, cams, valves, and pretty much everything else new. From the heater core, heater hoses, knock sensor, small block with sensors (new sensors) that sits under heater hoses rear of engine, coolant lines, injectors, water pump, etc. You know the deal, BRAND NEW EVERYTHING. BUT... it throws black exhaust and smells LEAN. The engine is flawless, you can't smell fuel, oil or coolant coming from the engine bay, or any leaks. Just the exhaust, 🫣 a little bit of white smoke from engine bay but didn't keep it on long enough.

idle sat at 900-800 rpm as it should but weird because it didn't even bother idling high to warm up. I had to turn it off due to being in a storage and didnt want to set off sprinklers. NO CODES. 😭 PLEASE HELP.

I hear it is normal for engines to smoke after rebuilds but like I said, I had it for about 1 or 2 minutes tops. So don't know if this will subdue but I know there may be someone that has had a similar experience, also, my new injectors have four little holes instead of one, idk if that could be the case but the seller is legit and I verified all the info of the car before I bought them.

You haven't run it long enough to know anything for sure.
Take it out on the road and warm it up.

Were the injectors the same spec as factory? Reason I’m asking is I tried some aftermarket injectors years ago and all they did was dump fuel, black smoke and ran horribly rich.

As Millball suggested run that thing, get it out and then go from there.

Well they a refurbished denso injectors, but I will say the reason I replaced my old ones was because three of them were bad, one stayed open and the other two leaked. It flooded my engine so I replaced oil and spark plugs. I was thinking it could be fuel still in there that didn't completely evaporate.

Put some miles on it, then pull plugs and look at the color. Ideally light/med brown, and all six be pretty uniform.
Denso/NGK plugs?

Yes sir, denso spark plugs. Should I get ngks? The car wasn't idling rough either.

No, either one is perfect. I’d use nothing else.

everything is good, my timing is off. 😵‍💫 black smoke was just the unburned fuel that flooded my engine. Will get timong done in the next few days.
