~~DEAD THREAD RESURRECTION~~ (see what happens when you search)

Ok lets' bring this back up.

We're talking REAR 4runner shocks. Coil springs.
Are we saying that a shock that is Ext. length:21.80" & Col. length: 13.80" would be a perfect fit with OME 901 springs?

What kind of shocks could help add some clearance? It's all stock and I just want to add a few inches. nothing major. Any suggestions?

Normal shocks won't change the ride height up front, they only serve to dampen out the bumps as the suspension cycles up and down. You can crank up the torsion bars or add ball joint spacers for some more height:

Or you could add air shocks up front and those would let you increase the front ride height a bit:

Does anyone have any links to direct me where to buy a minor suspension lift? I'm looking for a couple inches or so.

Well to add yet more to a twice revived dead thread. (does that make it a super zombie?)
I ran OME N98's and they worked great. Enough travel to hit the lower bumpsop without issues.
I ran into a little bit of a problem going up, I had OME T-bars, with some (not much) crank on them, with only the 4cyl and no winch bumper. Found that combo made it way to stiff. I purposely added weight to the front, and it again rode like a dream. Something to watch out for when buying suspension.

Just to clarify, you had this set up with the bj spacers, right? I know the thread is asking about shocks given bj spacers, but I want to be sure. I've been researching like crazy trying to find info on how the spacers + OME N98's + OME torsions feels. I have a v6 with a winch in an ARB, so I do have that extra weight up front and if your setup feels great with weight, then that's more in favor of bj spacers.
And how does it do off road?
Thanks in advance!

if you have an ARB + winch + v6, then i'd guess you will be fine with the OME front setup. i have bj spacers and OME N98s, but I skipped the OME t-bars because I lack the weight up front with stock bumper and 22re - and thought i might add them down the road if I ever add a winch bumper before going SAS (which may/not happen). actually, i removed my front swaybar to reduce the stiffness up front and i definitely prefer this over stock. something like this may be an option for you if you find the beefier t-bars too stiff for your taste. it's really up to you. you're in davis? all the Sac guys should get together

I ran bj spacer and ome shocks with arb bumper, winch, and v6 engine. Stock torsion bars and rides great. If your unsure. Run it with stock t bars and see how you like it. You can always add ome bars if needed. I can't comment to much since my current set up is long travel with bilstein shocks and ome t bars. Which I love

How cranked were your stock torsion bars?
How was the off road performance?
I already purchased all of the parts, but I can leave off the torsion bars for the moment and mount them later, like you said.

T-bars aren't terribly difficult to swap out - so take his advice and possibly leave those for later after some testing. Gotta remember, you're swapping out 20yr old worn out suspension parts for brand new - it's gonna ride stiffer no matter what.

True, true. I'll leave off the torsions for a little bit. The suspension has gotten so soft that it bugs the crap out of me and I've always liked stiffer suspension, so I'll probably end up putting them on, but like you said, easy enough to do separately.
Thanks for the input, guys!

was not cranked at all and it off road great. tons of flex

here is my current set up with OME t bars and Blazeland Long Travel. the OME are stiff but rides great on high speed wash board stuff. it takes the hit and doesnt bounce like it use too. im still breaking them in and hope they soften up just a little bit more. doesnt compress as easily as with stock t bars

and this is before i installed the OME t bars.
