A bit short on the t-case fluid...

Sooo,

My darned tranny sucked up more MT90 than I had planned on, so the t-case got just shy of a liter. (Somewhere I read the trans get 3.2qts but mine took more like 4.2)

Can anyone tell me if its a problem to drive this thing 6 miles to get more tomorrow, as long as I don't pop it into 4?

My guess is it wouldn't be a problem. Just wanting to check.

Oh yeah - 88, 22re, 5spd.

Thanks!

Get a ride from someone.

Fluid should pour out the fill hole when it is full, the tranny and the tcase.

Why chance it?

I just checked my FSM and it says the tcase gets either 1.6 or 1.1 litres depending on whether you have a RF1A or VF1A. In either case I wold think you'd be fine to drive 6 miles. I've seen guys with cases that are damn near empty that haven't had any trouble.

However, if you can get a ride, why not.
