Binding manual driver's door window

When it's cold, the driver's door window (manual crank) binds for the last half (or more) of travel during opening. I've generously lubed the channels (front and back) with a dry Teflon lube, but it doesn't seem to really help. A few years ago I had the door panel off, but couldn't identify the issue.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

It seems to be binding in the rear rubber channel as that gets pulled down when it binds.

I've had that with both of my trucks. It usually turns out to be the regulator (silly name for a window winder!) needing lubrication. I use the same grease on the regulators as I use on the chassis and drive shaft. Lithium/moly-B grease. Works like a dream. Just lube every moving part of the regulator you can see. Gears, the works.
The door panels go on and off pretty easily, so I just lube the regulators every spring when I do the chassis and drive shafts. I already have the grease gun out. I just squeeze a little on my finger, and put it onto all the moving parts of the regulator. Easier than trying to aim the grease gun. You can use a small stick or Q-Tip, as well.

Good luck!

i haven’t used teflon, but i have sprayed the channels with both pb’laster and fluid film. both seem to alleviate the sticky window issue effectively.
