Thumbs up Bikini Kit installed - 88 4Runner

I got my WabFab Bikini Kit and Bestop Bikini on today after school. This thing is awesome!! I already love it. The one and ony thing i dont like about it is the fact that i cannot have my subwoofers in the back so they dont get stolen. Other than that i am extremely happy with this kit. It was very easy to install and instructions from Brian at WabFab were great. On to the pics, Im hoping the top will form a little bit better once it gets a little worn in, but it is okay. I would definately recomend purchasing this kit from WabFab as it is great quality and of course it is from WabFab !!

Looks good. You can always bolt down the speaker box to your bed.

Looks good. Get a small tarp and some bungee cords in case there is rain when parked. You can close the doors on the front and hook the back to the bumper. Here's a pic of mine from last summer, going to take the hard top off this week.

Im eagerly awaiting my Kit from WabFab. Ordered it a month ago, and it was shipped out Today, so I should see it by the end of this week. I'll post up some pics of it installed with my tube doors.

Looks good to me. But I think it'd look much better without that middle bar. Makes it look like it has a hump back. This is how I did mine:

SwampThing, thanks for the input. At highway speeds does it flap and make a lot of noise? If it does not i may consider doing this if it doesnt sag in the middle.

I agree, looks good but if your not worried about the backseat I'd lose the middle support bar. Very clean truck though.

The rear bow keeps the middle from saggin in the rain and from flapping at higher speeds. As your top "matures" in the sun you can form it to fit like you want. You can easily adjust the rear bow to suit your tastes.

Looks good Brandon!

Naw mine aint sag or flap. It's all very taunt, even in the rain. Only down side about it is that it's awkward for people to climb in from the side. Most of the time they just go through the back.

because its not possible... 1st gen 4runner was 84 only and only came with a 22r. 3vze wasnt introduced until 88 well into 2nd generation.
