Yeah. Don't go throwing parts at it. Diagnose. Then fix. You never know if that igniter from the junk yard will even work.

im removing it for further inspection, gonna have it tested, and holy crap my coolant is like rust juice, dark brown, that normal?

This is a shot in the dark but do you have/have access to an oscilloscope? If so I can tell you how to test it.

no I don't sadly, im going to call junk yards and look for one cheap, I just want this thing running, then im going to sell it for a 4 wheel drive

ok well I pulled the ignitor off, are coils cheap? btw I check the o2 sensors on exhaust and they look good and connected still, this damn thing is gonna get me fired from my job if I don't fix it lol

ok i fixed it! went to the junkyard and got a ignitor for 150 bucks and it runs like a dream, starts better and runs awesome, also got a new mirror and some caps, anyone got a windshield washer cap? thanks for all the help guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good to know I wasnt the only one who had the igniter problem the same way. I deserve kudos for being first to call it even with all the people saying it probably wasn't nit that they don't have valid points lol. I replaced my igniter new for 279 @ O'Reillys and 80 for the coil since I didn't wanna end up stranded again lol

yea i would have bought new but im short on cash lol, thanks for tellin me bout the ignitor, had no idea it was even a part...

What do you mean not a part? Did it slip your mind lol.how's the engine running now after you had some more time with it

im pretty new to toyota engines, i only know like american muscle engines, im rebuilding a dodge 360 motor right now, and yea it runs awesome, i forgot what it feels like to have a running truck lol

only difference is my problems went away and about 200 rpms less then what it was when working... and shifts better etc seems like... about all I noticed lol
