Best adhesive for door panels

The plastic covering on both of my doors on my 1993 pickup has come loose along the lower front edge of the panels. I bought some spray on upholstery adhesive online that is in a spray can but when I read the label on it it has a list of different types of plastics that it shouldn't be used on. What has come loose on my doors looks like some type of plastic (it has no backing on it like seat upholstery.) What have any of you used with good results?

I've had the best luck using contact cement. The spray adhesive I don't think would be strong enough. Toyota even used dinky staples to help hold the vinyl skin to the fiber door, especially at the corners.

Thanks, thought I'd better ask after I saw the info printed on the label of the stuff I bought. Other than having come loose along part of the front and the lower corner they're in perfect shape and I sure don't want to damage them.

I used Weldwood cement. Comes in a small can and I used a 1” disposable bristle brush to apply. The trick is to follow the instructionS and apply to both sides and let sit before sticking together. I used a bunch of spring clamps to hold everything together as I worked my way around the panel.

All of the products listed here are 'contact cement'...

3M makes a product specific you door liners. Is it much different than the 3m 77 or 75, I don't know but my vinyl is attached with super77 and still doing fine.

I'd like more info on the 3M product. There stuff never fails.
The brush applied Weldwood was significantly better than the spray adhesive I tried the first time.

Has anyone tried the 3M HI-STRENGTH 90?
This is what we used when installing low-profile carpet liner on the ceiling/inside of a camper shell.

Don't use 3M 77. It's good stuff, but for headliner or door panels use something that has a higher heat rating. Come Summer time heat with windows rolled up 77 just can't take the heat.

I used Permatex Heavy Duty spray adhesive to apply vinyl to a plastic homemade headliner in OT vehicle. Works well and helps to follow instructions "apply to both materials"
