The beginings of a makeover thoughts please!

Alright first off I got a grey 91 4runner 4wd, Mostly stock only real upgrades are the westin bull bar and hella lights on it...

I'm re-painting because the previous owner(s) obviously didnt know what wax is. (see pics, realize the paint is kinda damp in pics) I'm going back to the stock grey color (mabye a fuzz darker)

My first issue, I want to replace the stock roof rack (mabye altogether) I've looked at some yakima racks... I cant seem to find many pics of racks on our rigs if i do they kinda suck... I'm want one i can mount more lights to if possible...

I'm getting rid of the sidstep/skirt crap for some rocksliders... Got that under control...

My biggest issue, I want a winch but not (if possible) with one of those outlandish bumpers (for lack of a better word)... I'd like it to be hidden (as much as possible) any body know of any kits besides the front hitch mod?

I'm not lifting (yet) as this is still my daily driver. April or May I plan on getting a new truck, Then my rig will get the lift it deserves!

I just became a body shop manager :complain: by the way, Thats the only reason I can rationalize painting it.

Sounds like you have a good plan. Here is a thread about mounting a winch like you want. I don't think there is a 2nd gen in there but might provide some ideas.

I have the Thule rack, but I haven't got around to mounting lights on it yet. Here's a pic:

I was thinking of mounting two lights below the fairing since it sit up so high.
I am also going to get the extension for it which will increase the length another 1.5 ft.

If you search for pics of Phalanx, he has a yakima rack. Actually just hit "refresh" a couple times, his pics are always on the banner at the top of the page.

Here is a great link to paint codes for every totoyta, so you can pick the color you like and have the paint code for the OEM colors.

The pic is of Phil, @ trdparts4u.com,'s 91 4runner ... It utilizes trdparts4u's 3-4 inch lift, among other things that make me drool a little... Thats the basic direction i'm headed... Still not fond of that type of bumber(though its growin on me)

I beleive Phil runs around yotatech his rig is featured on the main page of 4x4wire.com right now... ( I'm fighting taking out a small loan and doing everthing hes done all at once, right now!)
