Bad TPS?

I unplugged my TPS and other than maybe slightly more power and a slightly higher idle(+500) there is no difference in the way it runs. So is the TPS bad or is it good? Everyone says to run it without it to test it but now that I have what do my results mean?

I don't have the tools to test it. I've been told on here to unplug it and run it and then I'll know if its bad. So I did and its basically the same, which to me must mean that its bad because if its supposed to run the same with it and without it why would they put it on there, right? So...^ the question still stands, bad or not?

I could do that too I guess but like I just asked, if it runs the same with or without the tps doesn't that mean that its bad?

It wont run too different, most of the fuel calculations are done with the MAF.

If you see my other topics, I've been having some weak throttle response or overall lack of power along with occasional bogging or loss of power that happens after driving up a hill and lasts for a mile or two afterword. I've checked about everything and now I unplugged my egr vacuum line (and plugged it) and now it hasn't done it again. So now my question is why would disconnecting the vacuum line on my egr fix this problem. That must mean their was too much vacuum at the wrong times so what would cause that?

Well, your EGR modulator could be plumbed incorrectly or not working properly or the EGR valve could be sticking open or any number of issues there.

As far as testing the TPS, the "tools" to do so are very inexpensive, you can pick up a multi-meter for $5 or so:

and a set of feeler gauges if you don't have those you can use an old credit or gift card for the gap measurements.
