BAD REAR window BAD Window
So my 92 4runner rear window doesn't work any more. Took a volt/ohms meter to all the stuff and it looks like the down relays are shot. Is this a common problem? I kknow the switches break. But what about the relays? Motors still works fine if I jumper/hotwire the motor to direct power.

make sure that the relays are actually blown. if you hear a clicking when you try to put it up and down then the relay's working. I had this problem: the window stopped working but the relays were still working. Turns out it was something like the rear window wiper that hadn't gone up far enough, so it was telling the window that it couldn't move. I'm not totally sure what it was, but we ended up taking the trunk roof apart to get to the rear window motor. We fooled around with it there and it started working again.
If it is the relays that is shot then you probably could just replace them (remember if you hear clicking then the relays are working.
