94 4runner 3VZE here..

Im getting white smoke for a few seconds sometimes on start up.. not everytime.. probably 2-3 out of 5 starts.

Im aware of the head gasket problems these have, so I'm wondering, does this mean i dont have much left for time?

 

might just be the water vapor. what is the air temp when you started it and this happened?

oh, then probably not. does the smoke have a sweet smell to it?

and yes, it will smell sweet
