Back spacing

I just put some fender flares on the front fenders of my 93 pickup and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about back spacing the front tires so they did not rub on the flares?

What size tires are you running?
Any lift?
stock rims?

I had 32" tires on stock rims with no lift and they didnt touch my flares ( they have since been removed)

I got 31x10.5 but I might have bent somthing in the tie rod or something like that because only the left tire rubs. I was just curious about back spacing or if there was something else I could do to compensate for the newly acquired problem.
