Auto to manual swap in 95 runner
Hey guys, I have a 95 four runner with 35's and a 5 inch lift. Transmission has been suspect as of lately, and I have seriously considered swapping to manual. I have a list of parts I know I will need, but would realy like some advise as to how hard this really is. I just put a new motor in and I prob wont be happy with an auto, robs too much power, and to really be a legit wheeler, I dont think an auto is really that great. If someone has done this swap, please give me heads up... I dont know if computer is going to be a prob, etc. Thanks, Bill

For my V-6 a local guy did mine the same way he did his. Two big wires extended with same gauge wire to the lower clutch pedal switch so the clutch has to be depressed to start it. Two wires to the backup sensor, and two wires to the 4wd light. Then he fooled the auto trans into operating so i could keep my cruise control functional. Search my posts to find the specifics.
