Audiovox Cruise install 89 22re Automatic settings?
I have installed the thing, but the cruise can't pull up a hill at all, pointless really, until I try to install a vacuum booster.
I ordered one from Audiovox, so we'll see in a week or two.
I am wondering what settings you night have used on the dip switch when you installed yours. So far I have tried several combinations and nothing really changes but I think it is more vaccuum that I need.
Has anyone installed this and needed vaccuum boost?
Thanks

I thought I would update this thread in case anyone else tries to install one of these.
Number one: The 22re doesnt seem to work without having a vacuum pump added in the line. There just isnt enough vacuum created in this system. The factory cruise in our trucks and MR2's use vacuum pumps with the cruise control, as do some Volvo's Range Rovers, and probably many other cars. I installed a vacuum pump and vac sensor from an 87 MR2 and it stays on when the cruise is on. It makes all the difference, and keeps the speed up no matter how steep or long the hill is.
Settings I remember
It uses the 4000 beats per minute,
If you have an 89 and up you can use the VSS,
Medium sensitivty works fine.
