Anyone used FREEZE 12 instead of R12?

If anyones still interested I went back by Pep Boys and they had 30 cans of R-12 locked up. And yes you need a license to buy it. The price was $38.00. Thats in Petersburg, Va.

by the coversion kit for 134,pump it full & let it go.i just did my 91 4runner & have done nuimerous vehicles at wrk without all that other bs.it'll run you out of the truck it gets so cold.yes they say & i used to say ya had to do all that other but have had no problems just puttin the 134 in & runnin

I have had no problem with either 12 or 134.I currently run freeze 12 in my own 4Runner and it will get down to 28 degrees and last.I dont recommend 134 in the older systems.They are too nit-picky with 134,requiring a very,very specific amount of freon.Freeze 12 is about the same price as 134 and will mix with 12 oil(if theres any 12 oil still in it)so why not run it?I dont even stock R12 anymore due to the price and availabilty.
