Anybody run Gabriel Max Control shocks?

Looks like they have potential but wanted to see if anybody has run them on their truck?

Decided against the Rancho 5000's and wanted opinions on the Max Controls before biting the bullet on the Bilstein HD's. I just use my truck for errands around town and hunting so I don't drive it that much. I might drive it 2000 miles a year

If you want to go cheap, the KYB Gas-A-Just are supposed to be good. Not Bilstein good, but better than Monroe, Gabriel & Rancho.

If KYB had a rebate going where I could save 25% I'd have a set

I have ran Rancho 5000's on several vehicles and they were great, in fact I'm planning on them again. From what I have seen you definitely get what you pay for with shocks. If your truck only gets 2k miles a year I'd get the best shock made for the truck because you will have them for over 10 years likely. Bilstein would be my vote. If it's cheap you want, go with auto parts store shocks. The only reason I'm not getting billy's is because it would eat into my tire and lift budget

I am using Gabriel max shocks, my only complaint is rusting around the welded joints. They're only 9 months old.

They smooth out the bumps and give a decent ride, it took a week or so to break them in. I wanted Bilstein but they were twice the price. Like I said, I can see rust color stains around the welded areas so it is true you get what you pay for. I suppose a better coat of paint before installing might prevent that.
