Any suggestions while engine is out?

I'm waiting for the rebuild 22RE so I pressure washed the engine bay, cleaned up most of the oil from the former leaking head gasket, cleaned up some leaf litter in the vent area just below the windshield, cleaned tranny bell housing and associated parts, pulled battery (need a new one).

I plan to get a new clutch fork boot, a new clutch cylinder boot, new clutch with throw-out bearing, new battery, new air filter, flush the rad and lines.

While enjoying my time in the engine bay, I was thinking of how nice it is to not get bloody knuckles trying to work around an engine. My Mazda MPV is way worse though, probably because its a 6 not a 4 cylinder.

Any suggestions on more fixes or cleanup I should do while the engine is out. BTW - the truck only has about 140,000 miles on it and most everything in the bay seems pretty clean and in good condition.

Thanks

I like to flush the brake, fuel, and clutch lines while engine is out. A lot of gunk builds up in them. I remove them from their respective components and fill with PB Blaster and use an air hose.

That sounds good. Thanks

Is there a fuel valve near the tank on both the supply and return lines?
