Any pics of a marlincrawler bumnper on a 91 runner?
I have a $500 gift cert from Marlin Crawler and was thinking about buying the rear bumper and sliders. Anyone have pics of the rear bumper installed?

I posted this same question with no luck a couple of months ago. It's been pretty sloppy around here and my intention was to get her dolled up a bit before taking glamor shots of the bumper. But here's a nice dirty one.

if you want a bumper anytime soon order it now and you may....may get it by this summer. ive had the worst of luck with marlin. A person i know waited 2 months till he got his.

I waited 4 days. I guess they have a new fab guy who's really kickin' 'em out.
My spare is staying where is is for now. The departure angle is much improved as it is. With my stock bumper and hitch the spare was nowhere near to hitting the ground. 'Course my story might change after I get hung up on it a couple of times! I have been looking at the exhaust, though. I don't think I'd get hung up on but rather crush it. I dunno, though - I've never gotten hung up on it or crushed it in the past. More than anything it just looks sorta goofy hanging way down there. Looks like the muffler mounts broke or something. Does illustrate pretty dynamically the difference between stock and Marilin.

I've got two kids, 2 90lb dogs, a father-in-law who likes to tag along on camping trips - if anything I need to extend it!
I'm pretty darn happy with the bumper. I wouldn't call installation "easy" - things were pretty tight - but all the holes were exactly where they needed to be. Looks to be well made and looks damn tough in person. You can just barely see them, but there are shackle hangers at each mount which is definitely something I was looking for. I'll hang a couple of shackles for her glamor shots but I keep them inside to prevent thievery.

I got the HREW (cheap) one. When I bought it it was on sale making the price difference bigger, plus I just didn't need the extra toughness of DOM. HREW is pretty tough - REALLY tough compared to the stock bumper!

HREW vs DOM isn't going to make much of a difference unless you REALLY abuse your stuff. These bumpers are top notch, though i've heard people have to wait a while to get them.
I've consiered getting one many times, just haven't decided yet. I do like how they look.
I think molly, (lysmachia) has one, though it might be another company. Anyway, search her name in the "advaced search" feature, and you should be able to see some of her pictures.

What's the load capacity on the receiver tube for these bumpers??
I tow a 2000 lb pop-up camper with my 4R. The Smittybilt works good for that, but has a lousy departure angle.

I'm taking mine to a fab shop next week to have the mounts tweaked. I'll post pics of what they had to do. It looks pretty simple though.

Yeah, just cut out some different mounts. Dunno if Marlin would do it for you or not......
edit: oh, forgot about the forward attachment point - you'd have to figure out something to do with that as well. Probably just cut off the end plates and weld new ones on that drop down instead of reaching up.

Well, it's not stamped with any load rating or anything. I've been pulled over pulling a trailer with an aftermarket bumper (not this one) and the CHP didn't take a second look at my hitch. He looked at it sorta I guess - he looked to make sure I had the trailer hooked up right, safety chains, etc but didn't say anything about the bumper - it wasn't stamped or anything either......I don't really know what the law is in Colorado about hitches - I guess I should but I don't!
