Any advice for purchase and build up

Ok here goes nothing I am about to embark on a 3 year tour over seas and am going to make a good chunck of change while I'm gone. I have decided to sell my FJ 80 and start over with a 2 door 90-92 4runner. Now I'm new to the four runners and trucks but am pretty good with the cruiser stuff and know alot of the little toyota tricks already heres the basics of the build plan:
Portal-tek axles
37" tires
3.0 liter diesel from a hilux surf
klune-v underdrive
exo cage with carrier for roof top tent built in
and then all the little fun stuff like air and welder and such to make for a good all around/ epiditionary rig

Now the question I have for you guys is is there anything I should watch out for when looking for my new runner and does anyone have any recomendations for an sas that wont lift the vehicle to high since it will have about 6 inches of lift from the portal axles already(trying to maintain a low COG)? any help or advice is gladly taken.

Get a solid axle diesel Hilux with limited slips while you're overseas and you'll have a HUGE head start!

I have the Hilux hookup. I lived in New Zealand for 4 months last Jan-May and got to know the toyota wheelers down there. One of them, my friend Richard Dennis is a main importer of Hilux's for the south island. So He can order them up and have em shipped to ca. I can put you in touch if you want!
